MailChimp is a powerful bulk email marketing service. We offer a direct integration with them allows you to:

  • Push new and existing LeadSimple leads into a MailChimp list.
  • Pass MailChimp subscriber activities (sends, opens, clicks) into LeadSimple
  • Sync LeadSimple lead activity with MailChimp (stage, source, assignee, lead type, status)

STEP 1: Import MailChimp subscriber activity

Click on the Integrations link under Settings.

Click the MailChimp tab.

Click on the button that says "Connect your MailChimp account".

Next you will be taken to a page where you need to enter your MailChimp login credentials.

After you complete this step your MailChimp subscriber activity (sends, opens, clicks) will now be imported into LeadSimple for any contacts that are shared between both systems.

STEP 2: Sync your leads with MailChimp

On the MailChimp integration page you will now see your MailChimp account is connected.

Select the LeadSimple lead type that you want to push into a specific MailChimp list.

Once you click on the "Save and Start Sync" button, the contacts in the lead type you selected will all be pushed into the MailChimp list you selected. Note that this is a one way push.

Additionally, new merge fields will be created inside of MailChimp in order to store the following information about each subscriber:

  • LeadSimple Stage
  • LeadSimple Source
  • LeadSimple Assignee Name
  • LeadSimple Lead Type
  • LeadSimple Status

Note the difference between stage and status. Stage refers to the exact stage a lead is in at any given point in time. Status refers to the category that the leads stage falls in. There are 5 statuses a stage can fall into: Active, nurturing, won, lost, invalid.

You can view these new merge fields by logging into your MailChimp account and going to the "List fields and |MERGE| tags" page found under the settings tab when viewing a specific list.
