Announcing our new integration with Rently!

Note: this integration is currently in beta (as of April 8, 2025) and will be releasing to all LeadSimple customers soon.

What is Rently?

Rently offers self-guided touring, smart home, and rental screening as leasing automation solutions for the rental housing industry.

Why integrate Rently and LeadSimple?

The integration between Rently and LeadSimple allows showing leads to sync directly into LeadSimple and stay up to date depending on their status in Rently. This allows you to set up automated communications and populate tasks for your team.

Getting Started

Step 1: Add Your Pipeline

To get started with the Rently integration, you'll first want to add a pipeline for the Rently leads. You can do this by adding a custom pipeline, using an existing tenant lead pipeline, or using the Rently pipeline template in the Library in LeadSimple.

If you created a custom pipeline, don't forget to update and add your stages.

Note: you'll want these to match the status's in Rently as you will be mapping them in the integration set up step later.

Good news! πŸŽ‰ No need to add your lead sources manually! These will automatically be created as leads come over from Rently, and will match the sources as they appear in Rently.

Step 2: Set up the Integration

Now, go to Settings > Integrations > Rently.

Click "Add Rently Integration".

In the window that appears, give the integration a name (important if you are setting up multiple Rently integrations).

Then, select the pipeline you've added:

And then map the Rently statuses to the LeadSimple stages so LeadSimple knows where to put the leads as certain events happen in Rently. Then click Save.

Note: Prospects can inquire about properties that aren't available yet, without going through the proper Rently waitlist form. We will move these leads to the waitlist stage anyway, if we recognize that the property is not available yet.

Note: As the tenant lead's status changes in Rently, moving forward through the process, it will update the stage in LeadSimple.

By default, leads will not regress in LeadSimple if they regress in Rently (if a lead moves from Showing Completed to Showing Scheduled for example). However, you can change this by adjusting the setting in the integration (check the box):

Now, copy the webhook URL and provide it to Rently so they can set up the integration for you on their side.

How to Use the Integration

Now that your Rently integration is set up, you will have your Rently leads syncing directly into LeadSimple (see the detailed overview below of what data syncs into LeadSimple).

LeadSimple will add a note to the lead with the recent activity from Rently.

Now, you can use your stages to create a workflow of followup tasks based on the lead's stage:

Then, set up your saved views to allow you to quickly pull the list of leads in a certain status or for a certain property.

And now you're ready to go!

Detailed Overview of What Syncs from Rently to LeadSimple

When we receive an update from Rently, LeadSimple will:

  • Search to see whether there is already a contact and a property in LeadSimple

    • If not, it will create a new one

  • Search to see if there is already an open lead for this contact

    • If not, it will create a new one

The following data will sync into LeadSimple:

    • Email

    • Phone Number(s)
