When you first visit phone.leadsimple.com, your browser asks for permission to use your microphone and speakers. If you ever clicked “Don’t Allow”, the site can’t ask again until you manually reset permissions. The “Grant Permission” button inside the app won’t work in that case.
Why This Happens
If you clicked “Never Allow” before, the browser completely blocks access. The app’s internal “Grant Microphone Access” button can’t override that. Resetting permissions through the lock icon or browser settings restores the ability to grant access.
Below are quick steps for the three main browsers:
Google Chrome (Windows or Mac)
Go to phone.leadsimple.com.
Click the toggles icon to the left of the address bar.
Choose “Site settings.”
Under Permissions, find Microphone and Sound (or Audio).
Set both to “Allow.”
Close the settings tab, then refresh the page.
If microphone is toggled off here, click "Reset permission" then exit this window, refresh the page, and then on the LeadSimple popup you will be able to grant access successfully.
Safari (Mac)
Open Safari > Preferences > Websites.
In the left panel, select Microphone and Camera.
Find phone.leadsimple.com on the list.
Change both permissions to “Allow.”
Reload the page.
If the site doesn’t appear, revisit phone.leadsimple.com, then check preferences again.
Microsoft Edge (Windows)
Go to phone.leadsimple.com.
Click the lock icon next to the URL.
Select Permissions for this site.
Set Microphone and Media autoplay (or Sound) to “Allow.”
Refresh the page.
Quick Tip
If audio still doesn’t work:
Make sure your mic and headset are selected in your computer’s sound settings.
Restart your browser after changing permissions.
This ensures LeadSimple Phone can properly access your microphone and speakers.
