Understanding LeadSimples embedded VoIP phone offering!

We're excited to announce that the LeadSimple Phone is now built directly into the LeadSimple app. With the new embedded phone experience, you can make calls, receive calls, and manage your phone activity without ever leaving LeadSimple.

What's New

Previously, LeadSimple Phone operated as a separate experience. Now, the phone is fully embedded within your LeadSimple account, giving you a seamless calling workflow right alongside your leads, contacts, and processes.

Here's what you'll find:

  • A dedicated Phone section in your left sidebar for quick access to all call activity.

  • Recents and Voicemails tabs so you can toggle between your recent call history and any voicemails left for you.

  • Call detail view β€” click any call in your Recents list to see full details including the From and To numbers, date/time, duration, and any available recordings.

  • An embedded dialer β€” click the phone icon in the bottom-right corner to open the dialer, select your "Calling from" number, enter a "To" number, and place a call without leaving the app.

  • Call filtering β€” use the "All" and "Missed" toggles to quickly filter your recent calls and focus on what needs attention.

  • Search β€” use the search bar at the top of your call list to find specific calls by phone number.

  • More extensive metrics and reporting β€” now under the "Reports" section

How to Access the Phone

  1. Log in to your LeadSimple account.

  2. Click Phone in the left sidebar.

  3. You'll land on the Recents tab, which shows your full call history.

Making a Call

  1. The fastest way to place a call is just to click on the number you want to call anywhere in LeadSimple!

Alternatively, you can dial out manually by following these steps:

  1. Click the blue phone icon in the bottom-right corner of the screen to open the dialer.

  2. Select your outbound number from the Calling from dropdown.

  3. Enter the number you'd like to call in the To field (you can also use the on-screen keypad).

  4. Click the phone button to place the call.

Viewing Call Details

Click on any call in your Recents list to open the detail panel on the right side of the screen. You'll see:

  • From / To β€” the phone numbers involved in the call.

  • Date/Time β€” when the call occurred.

  • Duration β€” how long the call lasted.

  • Recording β€” if a recording is available, you can play it back directly from this panel.

Checking Voicemails

Click the Voicemails tab at the top of the Phone section to view and listen to any voicemails that have been left for you.

Filtering and Searching Calls

  • Use the All / Missed toggle to filter your call list. Select Missed to see only the calls you didn't answer.

  • Use the Search calls bar to look up calls by phone number.

Reporting and Metrics

  • Can now be found under Reports β†’ Phone Metrics with more extensive user breakdowns.

FAQ

Is every single call still logged in Inbox? Yes! While the phone tab gives you an easy place to see call activity, every single call record is still logged both in processes, and under any relevant contacts, properties, processes or lead records!

Where did my previous call history go? Your existing call history has been carried over into the new embedded phone experience. You should see all of your previous calls in the Recents tab.

Can I still use my existing LeadSimple phone number? Yes. Your existing phone number(s) will appear in the "Calling from" dropdown when you open the dialer.

Do recordings still work? Yes. Calls with recordings will display a recording icon in the call list, and you can play them back from the call detail panel.
