What are Property Forms?
Property Forms let you control exactly which fields are shown and required when your team creates or edits a property in LeadSimple. Rather than a one-size-fits-all form, you can customize the fields independently for each property category — Residential, Multi-family, Association, and Short Term Rental. This means your team only sees the fields that are relevant to the type of property they're working with, keeping things clean and reducing unnecessary data entry.
How to Configure Property Form Fields
Go to Settings in the left sidebar.
Click Property Forms.
Select the property category tab you want to configure: Residential, Multi-family, Association, or Short Term Rental.
Adjust the Visible and Required checkboxes for each field as needed.
Click Save Changes when done.
Fields are organized into sections — Address, Property Details, and Unit Info — so you can quickly find what you're looking for.
Understanding the Visible and Required Columns
Each field in the form has two toggles:
Visible — Controls whether the field appears on the property form at all. If the Visible checkbox is unchecked, that field will not show up when your team is creating or editing a property — even if data exists for it. Only check Visible for fields your team actually needs to fill out for that property type.
Required — Controls whether a field must be filled in before the property can be saved. Required only applies to fields that are also marked Visible. Use this for fields that are critical to your workflow, like Address or Property Type, where missing data would cause problems downstream.
A few things to keep in mind:
A field that is not Visible will never appear on the form, regardless of whether Required is checked.
A field that is Visible but not Required will show on the form but can be left blank.
A field that is Visible and Required must be completed before the record can be saved.
Setting a Default Property Category per Pipeline
Pipelines can now have a Default Property Category set in their General Settings. This means when a property is created during lead creation in that pipeline, it will automatically use the right form type — no manual selection needed. For example, a Short Term Rental pipeline can default to the Short Term Rental property form so your team always fills out the right fields.
To set this, go to your pipeline's General Settings and look for the Default Property Category option.
