Use this checklist when the AI Agent is not available, does not respond, or creates a different follow-up action than expected.
I do not see AI Agent settings
Confirm you are an account admin.
Confirm AI Agent is available for your account.
Confirm your account has LeadSimple phone features.
If the page is still missing, contact LeadSimple Support.
I cannot enable AI fallback
Forward unanswered calls to AI Agent requires at least one AI Agent phone line. First route a phone number to Forward to AI Agent, then return to the ring group or extension settings and enable fallback.
The agent did not answer a call
Confirm the phone number routing type is Forward to AI Agent, or confirm the extension action is AI Agent.
Check phone hours and voicemail settings.
For fallback, confirm calls are using ring group handling and fallback is enabled.
Confirm the AI Agent phone line appears under Settings > AI Agent > Active Agent Lines.
The agent did not reply to a text
Confirm Respond to texts with AI is enabled for the phone number.
Confirm the number supports SMS and outbound SMS is not blocked.
Media-only messages and opt-out messages are skipped.
If a team member replied from the Inbox in the last 24 hours, the AI Agent pauses for that conversation.
A lead was not created
Confirm the AI Agent phone number has a pipeline selected.
If the conversation is already tied to a lead, LeadSimple avoids creating another one.
If no pipeline is configured, LeadSimple creates a task instead.
A work order was not created
Confirm maintenance is enabled for your account.
Confirm the caller provided a property address or enough information to match a property.
If no property is matched, LeadSimple creates a task instead.
A knowledge base entry shows Sync failed
Open the entry, confirm the title and content are complete, save it again, and check the status. Contact Support if the sync error remains.
