Before sending
Assign a vendor to the work order and make sure the vendor contact has an email address. Add vendor instructions and attach any files the vendor should review.
Send the assignment
Open the work order and select Send assignment. LeadSimple emails the assigned vendor a secure work link. Re-sending creates a fresh link but keeps any progress the vendor has already recorded.
What vendors can update
From the assignment link, the vendor can acknowledge the job, mark it in progress, and mark it complete. They can add work notes and upload completion files.
What your team sees
The work-order panel shows the vendor work status, when the assignment was sent, acknowledged, started, and completed, plus the latest vendor notes. When the vendor marks work complete, LeadSimple records the completion time and can move the process to the Invoicing stage if that stage exists.
Assignment links expire after 30 days and stop accepting updates after completion.
