What Are Tags?
Tags are basically a label that can be applied to a lead, contact, property, or process. All of these can be grouped and sorted by tags, and tags can also be used to extend the functionality of LeadSimple via our integration with Zapier.
Types of Tags
There are several different types of tags:
Lead Tags - used for filtering from the lead dashboard
Contact Tags - used for filtering from the Contact page
Property Tags - used for filtering on the Properties page
Process Tags - used for filtering from the process dashboard
We'll review in more detail below about how to create the tags. It's important to know which page you want to use the tags on in order to know which type of tag to create.
Lead Tags
Creating a Lead Tag
Go to an individual lead record and scroll down to view the 'Details' section (in the right sidebar under Contact and Property Info).
Click the edit icon (pencil), type in a tag name or select from previously used tags and hit save.
Now the tag is created on this lead!
Filter With Lead Tags
Go to the lead dashboard page and click Add Filter. Read more using filters.
Type in "tagged" and select from either of the tag options.
Select your desired tag.
This will filter to only display leads with that tag applied.
Deleting Lead Tags
You'll need to remove the tags from all leads in LeadSimple (using bulk actions). Note this means that you'll need to remove the tag from all pipelines. Once the last tag is deleted from a lead, the tag will be deleted instantaneously from your LeadSimple account.
