Inbox: New Features & What's Changed
We spent the last year listening to your feedback and building the features you asked for most, delivered inside the Inbox experience you're already comfortable with.
Over the past year we've been heads-down working with customers to figure out what would make Inbox meaningfully better for property management teams. The result is a set of focused upgrades that solve real workflow problems without forcing you to relearn anything. Everything listed below is now live (unless explicitly stated) in your existing Inbox.
New features
π Auto-Assignment
Incoming conversations are now automatically assigned to the right team member based on the inbox they come into. No more manually sorting through unassigned threads. Coming next week: assignment rules by property group and by contact type, so your maintenance requests, owner inquiries, and tenant messages land with the right person from the start.
π Away Mode
Heading out for the day or taking PTO? Toggle Away Mode and you'll be automatically pulled out of ongoing threads and removed from auto-assignment rules. Conversations get redistributed so nothing falls through the cracks while you're off.
β Link Tasks to Conversations
You can now create or link existing tasks directly from a conversation. Keep follow-ups, work orders, and to-dos connected to the thread they came from, so you always have context when you pick them up later.
π Advanced Search
Search just got a lot more useful. Filter conversations by additional fields; assignee, status, channel, and more so you can track down that one thread without scrolling through your entire history. Date Range, Attachment, and easier filtering by Status Tags and
βοΈ Sort Old to New
Coming next week: You can now flip your conversation list to sort oldest-first. Handy when you're working through a backlog and want to tackle the longest-waiting items first.
π Desktop Notifications
Never miss an incoming message. Inbox now supports browser-based desktop notifications so you get alerted the moment a new conversation comes in or a reply lands, even if you're working in another tab. Enable here!
π¬ MMS & Group Texts
Inbox now supports MMS, which means you can send and receive pictures and participate in group text conversations, not just one-on-one SMS. Available on any LeadSimple Phone plan (which includes Inbox!).
Updated Phone + Inbox Plan Pricing
We've simplified Phone + Inbox plan pricing. Plans now start at $29/user per month and include full Inbox access with MMS, group texting, and all the features above. If you're already on a phone plan, check your billing page for details or reach out to support.

Coming Soon
Next week we're rolling out expanded auto-assignment rules that let you route conversations based on property group and contact type. This means a maintenance request from a tenant at one of your managed properties can automatically land with the right PM, no manual triage needed. We'll update this article when it's live.
