Overview of Pipelines

Pipelines are where you manage your leads and client data in LeadSimple — from prospective owners and tenants to referral partners, all the way through to synced client records from your property management software.

Navigate to Pipelines in the left sidebar (under Leads) to see every pipeline in your account.

The Pipelines Page

The Pipelines page is organized into two main areas:

Folders

Pipelines can be grouped into Folders to keep related pipelines organized (e.g., a folder for a specific team). Each folder shows:

  • The folder name and how many pipelines it contains.

  • The pipelines inside it, along with their stage count .

Click New Folder to create a new folder, or use the menu next to any folder or pipeline for more options.

Unassigned Pipelines

Pipelines that haven't been placed in a folder appear under Unassigned Pipelines.

For each pipeline, you can see:

  • Name – The pipeline's title (e.g., AppFolio Owner Contracts, AppFolio Tenants).

  • Deals – The number of deals/leads/records currently in that pipeline.

  • Stages – The number of stages configured in that pipeline's workflow.

  • Star icon – Click the star to favorite a pipeline for quick access; favorited pipelines appear with a filled gold star and will show up on the blue side panel.

Creating Pipelines

Use the buttons in the top right to add new pipelines:

  • Build from Template – Start a new pipeline using one of LeadSimple's pre-built templates that can be found in our library under settings.

  • + Create New – Build a pipeline from scratch.

What Pipelines Are Used For

  • Managing prospects – Auto-import leads, streamline your sales process, and keep accurate reporting on conversion rates, marketing sources, and more.

  • Managing current clients – Pipelines also act as databases for your current client data synced from your property management software (for example, the AppFolio-synced pipelines shown in the account: Owner Contracts, Tenant Applicants, Tenants, and Vendors).

Points to Remember

  • Your lead pipelines are used to manage prospects (such as prospective owner clients, tenants, referral partners, etc.). Auto-import your leads, streamline your sales process, and keep accurate reporting on your conversion rate, marketing sources, etc.

  • Pipelines also act as databases for your current client data synced from your property management software.

  • Pricing note: One pipeline is included in the base CRM subscription (Growth). Each additional pipeline incurs a $30/month fee.

  • Enjoy the flexibility of unlimited pipelines and processes with the Operations subscription — no additional costs for added pipelines or processes.
