6: Overview of Processes

Get an overview of operational processes and how they are used!

Written by Alexa Roeper

Processes are how you manage all of your company's operational workflows and tasks in LeadSimple. They keep your team on the same page, fully document your systems, and make sure important tasks never get missed.

Navigate to Processes in the left sidebar to see every process type in your account.

The Processes Page

Like Pipelines, Processes are organized into Folders and Unassigned Processes:

Folders

Group related process types together for easier organization. Each folder shows how many process types it contains (e.g., Daily (1), Jheanelle's Lab (2)), and can be expanded or collapsed. Inside a folder, each process type shows its stage count (e.g., Nell Move In Test — 15 stages).

Click New Folder to create a new one.

Unassigned Processes

Process types that haven't been placed in a folder appear under Unassigned Processes — for example, 01 Work Orders, 1 Owner Onboarding, 3 Marketing, 4 Rental Application, 5 Move Ins, 6 Lease Renewals, 7 Move Outs. Each shows its stage count on the right, and you can star a process type for quick access using the star icon.

Creating Processes

Use the buttons in the top right to add new process types:

  • Build from Template – Start from one of LeadSimple's pre-built templates in the Library.

  • + Create New – Build a process type from scratch.

All Processes Dashboard

Click All Processes Dashboard to see every individual process instance running across your account — not just the process types, but every actual process created from them (e.g., every Maintenance Request, Work Order, or Marketing Process currently in progress).

This dashboard includes:

  • Tabs to quickly filter your view: My Active, ALL, Active, Overdue, Off Track, Completed, Canceled, plus any custom saved views (e.g., JMH).

  • Key stats at the top: Count, Overdue, # Off Track, # Completed, and Time To Complete.

  • Filters such as Status (e.g., Backlog, Working) and Assignee, with the ability to Add Filter or Clear All.

  • A detailed table showing each process's Name, associated Properties, On Track status (e.g., Tasks overdue, Overdue! Due Jun 20 '26), current Stage (e.g., New, Estimate Requested, Collecting Information, Backlog), Due At date, and Created At date.

Use this dashboard to get a real-time, company-wide view of exactly where every process stands — which ones are on track, which are overdue, and which need attention.

Click + Start Process to kick off a new process instance directly from this view.
