Why does my PM Software integration create a separate record for each property?

Learn why you are getting the error: "You are trying to merge multiple deals which are separate entities in an integration."

If your property management software is connected to LeadSimple, you may notice that if an owner has multiple properties, they are duplicated in the pipeline in LeadSimple, with one record per property.

If you try to merge the records, you will get the error "You are trying to merge multiple deals which are separate entities in an integration. This is not allowed in LeadSimple."

Why is this?

The reasons why LeadSimple creates a separate record for each property are as follows:

  • Easily track emails, texts, and phone calls for each property individually

  • Additional data about each property is kept separate and more easily kept up to date from your property management software

  • Allows LeadSimple to keep accurate track of which properties are currently under management and which are past properties

If you would like to see all the properties for an owner, you can click into the owner's contact card by clicking on their name in any lead or process, and see all the properties, leads, and processes the owner is connected to:
