2-Way Operational Sync with Rentvine

Learn how the 2-way sync between Rentvine and LeadSimple works!

LeadSimple just launched our 2-way sync with Rentvine, allowing certain data to be pushed back into Rentvine when updated in LeadSimple!

The majority of the 2-way sync functionality is currently in the brand new maintenance and work order features which you can learn about here. Additional 2-way functionality is being explored.


How the 2-Way Sync Works

We pull owner, tenant, lease, vendor, property, and unit data from Rentvine and keep it up to date in LeadSimple so you can run your processes with that data. Learn more about the integration here.

Now we are able to push certain data points back in to Rentvine when they are updated in LeadSimple!

Here are the specific fields that will sync back to Rentvine currently:

Contacts:

  • Name

  • Phone Numbers

  • Email Addresses

  • Addresses

Properties:

  • Name

  • Address

Units:

  • Market rent

  • Square feet

  • Num Bedrooms

  • *Num Bathrooms (not supported yet due to a difference in LeadSimple's data format; Rentvine stores these in two fields, we store it as a decimal field, which doesn't convert perfectly.)

Work Orders (if activated on your account):

  • Type [unit turn, resident, owner, internal]

  • Priority [urgent, normal, low]

  • Property

  • Unit

  • Requesting Tenant

  • Job Description

  • Tenant Remarks

  • Work Order Number

  • Assigned Vendor

  • Assigned Tech

  • Vendor Trade (future release)

  • Entry Allowed

  • Vendor Instructions

  • Entry Notes

  • Tenant Availabilities

  • Scheduled Start

  • Scheduled End

Work Order Status: You can set up your integration to update the status of work orders in Rentvine when you change the stage in LeadSimple. See Step 9 in the setup instructions above.

We will drive the status update from LeadSimple, so you will still need to start with LeadSimple to update the stage/status. This ensures that you won't accidentally move a work order to a stage your aren't aware of by changing the status in Rentvine.

Creating Contacts/Properties: Note that we are currently only pushing updates to Rentvine for the contacts, properties and units that were originally synced from Rentvine. We do not create new contacts, owners, or properties in Rentvine. New owners and properties still need to be added to Rentvine directly.

Work orders that are created in LeadSimple do create new work orders in Rentvine.

Frequently Asked Questions:

If data is deleted in LeadSimple will it be deleted from Rentvine as well?

Yes, we keep a one to one relationship between LeadSimple and Rentvine. If data is changed in one it will be updated in the other.

Is there an additional cost for the 2-way sync with Rentvine?

No, if you are on our current Operations plan there is no additional cost for the 2-way sync. Note that work order sync is only available on our Comms plan.

Can I restrict my team's ability to update fields that will sync to Rentvine?

Not currently. We are considering this functionality for a later release.

Can communications be pushed into Rentvine?

Currently we do not have the ability to push communications with owners, tenants, or vendors into Rentvine.

Do created contacts and properties in LeadSimple sync to Rentvine and create new contacts and properties?

No, we are currently only pushing updates to Rentvine for the contacts and properties that were originally synced from Rentvine. New owners and properties still need to be added to Rentvine directly.
